Homewood Tea


Situated at the foot of the Dodabetta Peak Homewood teas come to you from the highest elevation tea factory in South India. Teas made from fine tea leaves plucked from the lush green tea gardens around the hilly terrains of the Nilgiri Hills are processed under utmost care and strict hygienic conditions to bring to you the unique Nilgiris flavour and taste. Recepie to Prepare 2 cups of Cardamom Tea


Take 250ml of good milk and heat it. When the milk comes to Boil add 5 gms. of tea dust now when the milk again comes to boil turn the gas to “sim” and heat for one minute, Remove the tea, filter it, add needed sugar and enjoy a cup of invigorating tea. Increase the measurements to suit your requirements.

Green Tea Preparation


For Green Tea Preparation put tea leaves into the tea pot first. Use 3 gms of leaf for every 8-12 ounces of water. Pour medium temperature water at 65 to 800 C / 150-1750 F or pour 70% hot water first, immediately followed by the 30% cold water at room temperature. Allow to brew for 2 to 3 minutes.

During Brewing, leaving the tea pot open is critical for green tea preparation. After 2 to 3 minutes filter and taste by adding 2 or 3 drops of lime or mint.




White Tea Preparation


For white tea p-reparation put tea leaves into the tea pot first. Use 3 gms of leaf for every 8-12 ounces of water.
